| Overview |
H.I.M.is a non-profit, non-denominational organization focusing on the needs of impoverished children and families. Our volunteers are working together in a ministry of compassion, incidentally promoting personal growth by experiencing cultural exchange. Our mission is committed to meeting the needs of individuals by aiding in the development of programs in the health, education and welfare, both in the US and throughout Central and South America. The organization was incorporated in 1993 with 501(c) 3 status. |

| Governance |
|
H.I.M. is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for overseeing the organization’s growth and financial health, as well as setting operational policies. All members of the Board serve without compensation. Day-to-day management of the organization is delegated to the Executive Director who reports to the Board of Directors. |

| Program Locations |

Currently the home office is based in Indiana with volunteer offices in Washington, Texas, Kentucky and Wisconsin. |

| Funding |
|
To date, Hearts In Motion receives no government funding; but is supported entirely by individual donors, church groups, schools, and service clubs. |
